Delete your Runese account

Delete it in the app

The quickest way. It works the same on iPhone and Android.

1. Open Runese and sign in.
2. Tap Profile (the account icon on the main screen).
3. Scroll to Manage account and tap Delete account.
4. Confirm. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out.

In short: Profile → Manage account → Delete account.

Delete it without the app

If you no longer have the app, email hello@runese.com from the email address on your account, with the subject “Delete my Runese account”. If you signed in with Apple or Google, tell us which, and send it from the email address that account uses.

We may ask you to confirm it is your account. We then delete it and confirm by email, within 30 days at the latest.

What we delete

Everything we hold about you on our servers, including:

• your account, name, email address and sign-in details;
• your plan, planned sessions and setup answers;
• your runs, routes, notes, heart-rate data and race predictions, including runs imported from Apple Health or Health Connect;
• your subscription records, referral records and any bank details for Referrals Plus;
• your devices, push notification tokens and app usage events.

If you used Sign in with Apple, we also revoke Runese's access to your Apple ID. Runese data stored on your device is removed when the app deletes your account.

What is kept, and for how long

• Backups and logs. Copies in our encrypted backups and server logs are erased within 7 days.
• Purchase history. Apple and Google keep their own records of what you bought through the App Store or Google Play. We do not keep them.
• Health and Strava. Runs Runese saved to Apple Health or Health Connect, or uploaded to Strava, stay there until you delete them in the Health app, Health Connect or on Strava.
• Friends you invited. Pro days a friend got from your invite stay with them, but the link to you is removed.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your account does not cancel a Runese Pro subscription. The store bills it, so cancel it there: on iPhone in Settings → your name → Subscriptions, and on Android in the Play Store under Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.

If you signed in with Google, you can also remove Runese from your Google account under Security → Your connections to third-party apps & services.
